Shaun Morris tied up the European Championship today in Norway after a close battle with rival Jerome Bethune.
Morris found himself in first position straight from the off when he found himself with the smallest or margins over Bethune on lap one. Morris dropped 8 marks with Bethune just trailing him on 9.
The second lap was one with a very similar story. Morris extended his lead by a further 2 marks ahead of Jerome Bethune as he lost just 5 more marks in comparison to Bethune’s 7.
This put Morris on the top spot of the podium yet again in the series and crowned the new European Champion for 2005.
Credit must also go to Spanish lady rider, Laia Sanz who scored her first ever European points this week, finishing up in 14th place.
